1. Introduction
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of TripSpy (the “App”). By continuing to use the App, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the App.
The English version of these Terms takes precedence over any translation.
2. Description of the Service

3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are located in the EU/EEA/UK, you must either meet the local minimum age for digital consent (usually between 13 and 16) or have valid permission from a parent or legal guardian.
4. Accounts
You can create an account using your email address or, where available, Google Sign-In. You may have more than one account, but you remain responsible for all activity on them.
You should keep your login credentials confidential and secure. You can delete your account at any time in the App; after deletion, certain technical logs and backups may remain for a short period as described in the Privacy Policy.
5. User Content License
Users may upload or create routes, places, events, photos, comments and other material (“User Content”).
By posting User Content, you grant TripSpy a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free and sublicensable licence to host, display, reproduce, adapt and distribute that content as necessary to operate, promote and improve the Service.
You keep ownership of your content and can delete it at any time. Deleted content may stay in backups for up to 7 days.
6. Prohibited Content and Conduct
You agree not to upload or engage in:
- Illegal, hateful, violent or discriminatory content;
- Harassment, bullying, stalking or threats;
- Any sexual content involving minors;
- Spam, misleading promotions, scams or fraudulent behaviour;
- Sharing private or confidential information of other people;
- Using bots, scraping, reverse-engineering or other unauthorised automation;
- Placing unauthorised third-party advertising in or through the App.
7. Moderation
Users can report content they believe violates these Terms or is unsafe. We may review, hide or remove content, and we may suspend or terminate accounts where we see violations, safety risks or legal obligations to do so. Moderation can happen automatically, after posting or following a report.
8. Future Paid Features
In the future, the App may offer paid features such as event tickets or the ability to promote posts. Any payments will be handled only through the official stores (Apple App Store and Google Play), and their billing and refund rules will apply.
9. Location
The App may request access to your device’s location in order to show nearby routes, places and events. Exact GPS coordinates are not permanently stored; we may keep your city and country to tailor recommendations.
The App does not collect background location data.
10. Intellectual Property
TripSpy owns the rights to the App, including its software, design, branding and UI. Except where allowed by law or by written permission, you may not copy, modify, redistribute or create derivative works based on the App.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms, created safety risks or we are required to act by law. You may stop using the App or delete your account at any time.
12. Disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, secure or available at all times and we do not endorse or verify User Content.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, TripSpy will not be responsible for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits or loss of data arising from your use of the App.
Where our liability cannot be fully excluded, it is limited to the lower of €100 or the total amount you have paid for in-app purchases in the twelve months before the claim.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are significant, we will notify you inside the App or by other reasonable means. By continuing to use the App after the new Terms become effective, you accept them.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Austria, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes will be handled by the competent courts located in Vienna, Austria.
